About

c2c-Outdoors LTD is owned and operated by myself (Phil Wright), I am your single point of call – This means any contact with c2c-outdoors is directly with me – None of that “I’ll get someone from accounts to call you back” scenarios with me.

I am an avid outdoorsman who personally enjoys most, if not all, outdoor activities/adventure. My passion for the outdoors started when I was introduced to Snowboarding in the Alps, I was hooked. From that moment I sought-out as much outdoor adventure as I could, I started Rock-Climbing with a club, tried Canoeing & Kayaking with friends I met, took myself on Mountain Walks and signed up to lessons in wake boarding and windsurfing to name a few. It wasn’t too long before I knew that the outdoors was my passion in life. I gave up my full time job as a chef, completed a Degree in Outdoor Activities Leadership and Coaching and started my pathway to becoming a full time outdoor instructor/coach, putting myself through many, many, many hours of personal development and official/accredited training courses and assessments and I am continuing to do so.

I am particularly interested in personal development and absolutely love accompanying people through their developmental journey, whether thats developing personal canoe skills or developing personal skills (confidence, self esteem) for example. For me life is all about the journey, creating positive attitudes and events to accompany us on our personal journey through life.

As a company, I can offer personal 1-1 coaching, work with small groups (2-10) or provide services to large groups (11-100+). Depending on the nature of the adventure you would like to undertake it may be that I deliver your event on my own, for larger groups or certain activities it may be necessary to have the assistance of other qualified professionals.

In such an occasion that I am not personally providing your adventure, I will only use highly qualified and very experienced individuals. I will still remain the one and only contact you will need for every stage of that adventure for you. I will arrange everything and answer every question personally. I will be available pre booking, during the journey, and post journey to support you in any way thats needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book?

As a bespoke activity provider, we will start by designing your activity/course itinerary via telephone or email. Once you are happy with the itinerary, we will email you a booking link to follow – this will confirm all the important information and allow you to complete the booking form and payment all online – its that easy!

From time to time we will have pre planned ‘public’ activities, in which you can book an individual place on by going to our booking page :  https://c2c-outdoors.co.uk/booking/

Will I receive a booking confirmation?

Absolutely. Our booking confirmation forms part of our join contract for the product/service you have booked.

What activities do you offer?

As we are a bespoke service, we can arrange most outdoor & adventure activities, you can see our popular options on our ‘Activities‘ page, but if you dont see the activity or package you want please contact us on email : phil@c2c-outdoors.co,uk or via our web form.

I am not sure which activity is the most suitable for me. What should I do?

Please get in touch, via email, our contact form, WhatsApp or by telephone call and we can discuss all the options with you prior to making a formal booking enquiry.

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs too and we know it would be awesome to bring along your four legged companion. We would rather avoid any disappointment so we suggest you contact us prior to booking an activity to make sure its safe and appropriate to bring them along.

Do I need to pay upfront?

For activities / courses starting within 8 weeks of you booking, a full payment will be required. For activities / courses starting later than 8 weeks from making your booking an initial deposit can be made, followed by the balance being due 8 weeks prior to your activity start date.

Is there parking on site?

Parking options depend on our chosen venue for your activity, parking access/restrictions will be discussed with you

Is accommodation provided?

We do not provide accommodation for any of our activities or courses but depending on the activity location we may sometimes use a campsite that you can book onto. Alternatively, if you are unfamiliar with the services available in the area of your activity, please do contact us – we may be able to offer some suggestions.

Do I need insurance?

As a company we do have Public Liability Insurance, however due to the nature of the activities we offer and the environments we operate in, we strongly suggest that you consider obtaining your own personal insurance cover. This is to protect yourself in the case of injury, financial distress, loss of kit/equipment etc, just as you would if you were going on holiday.

Can I use my own equipment?

This will depend on the type of equipment needed for your activity or course, it is best to contact us to discuss this. However, generally speaking any equipment that is not fundamental safety equipment should be ok.

Use of personal safety equipment, such as Harnesses, Buoyancy Aids, Helmets etc might be considered appropriate, but may require inspection by your instructor prior to use. Please be aware that attending your activity with your own safety equipment that ‘fails’ our instructors inspection may result in you being excluded from the activity on the grounds of safety.

What should I bring with me?

This would depend on the specific activity / course you book onto. Once you have booked an activity with us, you will receive a booking confirmation that will detail the specifics of your activity / course, including what equipment is necessary.

If you would like to chat about this prior to making a booking please email us at : phil@c2c-outdoors.co.uk or use our webform.

How fit do I need to be?

Your general fitness level is an important factor to consider when booking an activity / course with us. A full day of Mountain Walks, Caving, or water sports do require a reasonably good level of general fitness, and the decision to participate shouold not be taken lightly – where as Bushcraft, Archery and short water based taster sessions are not so demanding.

If you are at all concerned about the requirements of an activity, please do get in touch to discuss your circumstances – we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

What happens if the weather is poor?

The outdoor environment in which our activities operate in can be greatly affected by the weather. In the case of adverse weather having a safety impact upon your activity (excessive wind speeds, unexpected water levels, lightening etc) we may need to amend the location, date or time of the activity or cancel the activity entirely – The weather conditions can change rapidly and our instructors are trained to handle these situations, we will however strive to inform you of any changes to your activity with the greatest amount of notice as possible (and where possible).

If the weather does not affect the safety of the activity, the activity will go ahead as planned and we will advise you to wear appropriate clothing/equipment to remain as comfortable as possible – information of this nature will be included.

Where can I find a list of courses or events?

We are primarily a bespoke adventure service, so please do contact us so that we can design a program specifically for you : phil@c2c-outdoors.co.uk or use our webform.

From time to time we will have ‘public’ activities in which you can book an individual place on – to see these, please visit our booking page.

Another great way to keep up to date with what were doing is via our facebook page : c2c.outdoor

What is not included in my course fee?

There may be some occasions where the cost of your activity / course does not include fees to external parties or for external services. Examples of this would be parking fees, trespass fees, certification fees, the use of local accommodation/transport etc.

Your booking confirmation will detail all products and services provided by us and that are included in the final cost of your booking, we will also do our best to advise you on any expected additional costs you may occur during the activity / course.

I need to cancel my course, what should I do?

We understand that life sometimes throws a spanner in the works, if for any reason you feel you need to cancel, or amend a booking please contact us as soon as possible so that we can discuss your needs and support you in the best way possible.

Can I change my booking?

As a bespoke service provider, we would hope that after discussing your requirements, you will not need to change your booking. But if something crops up and you want or need to change something, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Please be aware that changes to a booking (such as adding participants or extending the duration of the activity) can lead to increased costs, and changes that result in a decreased level of service (ie removing participants or reducing the activity time) may not necessarily lead to a reduced fee, or a refund.

For any changes, it is always best to contact us and discuss your needs with us.

Can someone take my place on the activity?

Changing or adding a participant on a booking is definitely possible with enough notice, but we do need all participants to have received all relevant information regarding the activity / course and to have agreed with and signed all necessary documents.

Very last moment changes may not be possible.
