Welcome to the Deer Shed 2026 pre-booking page!

Introduction

Kayaking has made such a splash out at Baldersby Park the last few years there would have been uproar if kayaking wasn’t available again this year.

We (c2c-Outdoors) will be onsite from 12.00 on Friday 24^th till 18.00 on Sunday 26^th (we’ll stay open longer on Sunday if needed).

Just like previous years, you have the opportunity now to pre-book your Kayak session at selected times over the weekend.

Kayaking

Our solo Sit-On-Top kayaks are suitable for ages 8+, with no upper age limit, so come along and enjoy the fun festival vibes at the onsite lake. Race across the water competing for bragging rights, enjoy a chilled ride taking in the music and sunshine or invent your own family fun games.

Our staff are highly experienced and qualified paddlesports instructors & coaches with safety and rescue training, so you’ll be in safe hands with us. After checking in, we will be on hand to help you launch and land safely, provide hints & tips, and to come to your aid if you need us.

booking terms

Please arrive 10-15 minuets prior to your session start time, to allow you time to sign in and receive the necessary equipment and information needed for your session. Late arrival may result in lost time on your session or a completely missed session
Kayak Hire sessions are for Adults and Children over 8 years old, using our Solo (single person) Sit-On-Top Kayaks.
Whilst it may be possible for younger children to participate or share a kayak with an adult. A judgement on this will be made by our instructors on-site, on a case-by-case basis and where an appropriate-sized buoyancy aid (flotation vest) is available
We do not recommend you pre-book a kayak session if you have children under 8 years old, or if you wish to share a kayak with a child, as we may not be able to accommodate your needs and no refunds will be available.
Children sharing a kayak with an adult, will ONLY be charged a buoyancy aid (floatation vest) fee of £4.00. this will payable onsite.
Supervision of Children: All under 18’s will need to be signed in by their parent/legally appointed guardian, following this children 16+ can be on the water independently, whilst those under 16 will need direct supervision at all times, either from a kayak or from the bank.
ALL bookings are STRICTLY none refundable & none-transferable.
Please ensure your completely satisfied with your chosen time slot, price and terms & conditions prior to booking and making any payments – mistakes can NOT be rectified.
You will need to bring your booking confirmation with you to access your Pre-Booked session (digital is fine, no need to print)
For your safety and an enjoyable festival weekend, footwear is mandatory for all participants during your Kayak session, these may get wet – trainers, beach shoes or neoprene boots are fine.
