Description
The objective of this training course is to introduce simple and safe skills that can provide the tools to problem-solve simple common paddling scenarios in flat/sheltered water regardless of the craft. Holding a PSRC is not only setting you up with good personal skills but is also the starting point for many other Paddle UK courses and qualifications, such as Paddlesports Instructor.
There is no assessment!! Attend without the common assessment nerves and focus on your learning journey. We will make you feel welcome and at ease.
You will learn techniques and skills which will enable you to contribute to the safety of yourself and others, apply appropriate decision-making skills and deploy appropriate rescue in a range of situations.
PSRC is designed and delivered as a multi-craft rescue course. We will cover rescues in Canoes, Kayaks, Paddleboards and fragile crafts – Whilst we encourage you to explore all the crafts available, the expectation is that you complete the rescues from your choice of craft.
